UNESCO has made a series of statements on race. These documents, in particular the declaration from 1950 (cf Wikipedia), have shaped the political climate of the postwar era to a considerable degree, and anyone interested in issues having to do with race, should be at least somewhat familiar with them.
For counterarguments, see, e.g., Racial Differences in Intelligence: What Mainstream Scientists Say (1994).
