I will focus on Europe, as the title indicates, but we can also include some general recommendations for the wider Western world, Israel, North America and Australia. What do we want to achieve? What would constitute victory, or at least an outcome we could live with? What is wrong with our civilization today, and how can we revitalize it? GoV reader and blogger Natalie has some ideas. Excerpts from an article by Fjordman at the Brussels Journal: At the same time as sharia law has gained official recognition as a part of the British legal system and Muslims proudly talk about conquering the Western world, a British woman has been arrested because of a supposedly "racist" doll she kept in her window. In al-Britannia a Muslim man can claim state benefits for children with multiple wives and brag about subduing the country and reducing its traditional inhabitants to second-rate citizens or worse, but you cannot have a "racially insensitive" doll in your own home, at least not if you're white. [...]

These incidents may seem unrelated, but they are not. Make no mistake about it: Harassing the natives in order to crush them mentally and destroy any ideas they might harbor about defending their country against foreign colonization is a deliberate strategy on the part of the authorities and the ruling Multiculturalist oligarchy, whether you identify this as the British Labour Party or the European Union (both are correct). Of course, this is about the entire Western world, not just Britain, but Britain is arguably the worst example of all. I am not aware of arrests for "racist" dolls even in Sweden, Belgium or al-Canada, and they are all bad cases of suicidal Multiculturalism. Britain in 2008 is no longer the nation that gave us Shakespeare or Newton; it is the world's largest open-air prison, an enlarged Marxist reeducation camp, a horror story where the authorities wage cultural and demographic warfare against the indigenous people of the country. The only good news is that I sense that native Britons are getting angrier by the day, and will not go quietly into the night.

Increasing tensions in the Netherlands

23.09.2008. The Hague - A police officer was knifed this weekend in Gouda. As well, journalists continue to be attacked. But the municipality continues to claim that all is quiet. Gouda hit the national news when drivers of bus company Connexxion went on strike last week. They refused to drive through the Oosterwei district any more because they say they are continually threatened and robbed there by Moroccan youths. After the mayor announced the equipping of the buses with cameras, the drivers resumed their service reluctantly. On the very same evening, a TV crew was robbed and assaulted. 23.09.2008. Last weekend’s events in Cologne demonstrate what European conservatives are up against. A conference protesting the building of a mega mosque run by Turkish radicals was violently disrupted by thugs who gained the approval of the local German authorities and the German media. 18.09.2008. Neoconservatives, masquerading as conservatives, is wreaking havoc in the USA by encouraging illegal (!) immigration. This benefits employers who want cheap labor, but is costing American tax payers untold billions of dollars, not to mention that the nation is being torn apart by immigrants who are unable and/or unwilling to assimilate. Pat Buchanan in his book State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America explains the current trends very well. If you want to understand why the American economy is in trouble, and what kind of a future this once great nation will be headed for if the stupidity/treason is allowed to continue, Buchanan's book is a good place to start.

The particular problems that are currently shaking several financial institutions may not be directly related to immigration, but indirectly they certainly are:

The Zapatero legacy - Spain's accelerating decline

18.09.2008. More than 920,000 new immigrants arrived in Spain during 2007, according to data just published by the Spanish National Statistics Institute (INE). This comes on top of the 802,971 new arrivals in 2006, the 682,711 new arrivals in 2005, the 645,844 new arrivals in 2004, and so on. The politically sensitive figures were released during the middle of the summer holidays, presumably in an effort to avoid their detection by the vacationing general public.

All in all, Spain now has a total of 5.2 million immigrants, who make up more than 10 percent of Spain’s population, which has swelled from 40 million in 2000 to just over 46 million as of 1 January 2008. According to the Fundación BBVA [doc] research institute, Spain now has the largest number of immigrants in the developed world after the United States.

But the biggest significance of the new data is not that there are a lot of new immigrants in Spain, which is perfectly self-evident to everyone in the country. What the fresh numbers show is that there are now over one million new illegal immigrants in Spain; this less than three years after Socialist Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero tried to “fix” Spain’s illegal immigration problem by granting the largest blanket amnesty in Spanish history to nearly one million other illegal immigrants. Former Archbishop of Canterbury warns

Unlimited immigration may lead to violence on Britain's streets

16.09.2008. A leading Anglican archbishop has warned uncontrolled immigration may lead to more violence on the country's streets. In a startling attack on the UK's current immigration policy, Lord Carey said there was great concern among the British public about the number of people moving to the country. He said mass immigration could change what it means to be British and warned resentment and violence could follow if the problem is not addressed.

Lord Carey, who was the Archbishop of Canterbury from 1999 to 2002, is part of a cross party group on immigration. He said while many Britons saw the benefits that immigration brought to the country, British society was 'changing before their eyes' with 600,000 people arriving in the UK in the past year. His cross party group is calling for a 'one in and one out' policy in a bid to reduce pressure on Britain's public services. Continue reading in the Daily Mail.

A victim of the increasing racism in Zimbabwe. Similar developments are taking place in South Africa.

12.09.2008. A new blog acquaintance of mine, South Africa Sucks, makes reference to an article in the Sunday Independent, and remarks that "Although [it is] well-written and [gives] an interesting perspective on the scourge of urban terrorism disguised as ordinary crime, the article is carefully sanitised not to make references to" the following (emphasis added):

• The race of the perpetrator which in 99.5 % of all cases is black;
• The race of the victims which in 80% of all cases are White;
• The extreme racist abuse, anti-White political statements and sentiments expressed by the vast majority of black criminals that accompany these acts of terrorism at the rate of 40 home invasions per day;
• Evidence of several black gangs having mistakenly invaded non-White homes, to apologise to their non-White victims that they thought they were Whites, and then immediately leaving;
• The fact that black criminals commit these deeds with impunity and a commitment predicated on the malicious ANC-propagated belief that they are "repossessing from Whites what was stolen from blacks in the first place;
• The murderousness of these hit squads which include cold-blooded executions of men in front of their wives and children, the rape and sodomy of women and young girls in front of their husbands, family members and children;
• The incidences of extended torture and sadistic savagery which include merciless assault, burning helpless White victims for hours on end with hot clothes or soldering irons, boiling water, and dripping burning plastic, acid and even petrol on children and women which can continue for up to six to eight hours; cutting off victim's fingers and toes with pruning shears and knives;
• Extensive humiliation and psychological abuse by spitting, urinating and defecating on victims, or on their furniture or bedroom & lounge carpets, smashing of precious family heirlooms;
• The refusal of predominantly black SA Police officers to investigate, arrest or make even the slightest attempt to track down the perpetrators, and in numerous cases the active, brazen involvement of uniformed police themselves in these cases;
• The actions of police officers country wide, where White victims of these attacks who dared to defend themselves with deadly force are immediately disarmed, arrested and charged with murder or attempted murder;
• The obstructive actions and policies of central, provincial and municipal governments to actively aid and abet the commissioning of these crimes by strongly opposing civic defensive measures such as street closures and boomed communities, outright refusal or for years purposely delaying any such permit applications while arguing that restricted access is somehow "racist", and even sending municipal workers to remove fences and structures erected by besieged, desperate residents;
• The resolute & steadfast refusal of even our State President to acknowledge and admit that any crime problem exists, further exacerbated by deliberate obfuscation of armies of denialist spin doctors in the MSM and Academia, and of these naysayers to purposely diminish the seriousness of the crisis by creating diversions such as blaming barbarism & savagery on poverty, Apartheid and other false or lesser causes;
• The openly racist statements and anti-White incitement of senior government ministers & ANC party officials to their black constituents exhorting them to crime and violence;
• The callous and thinly disguised contempt for especially White crime victims by senior ministers, such as evidenced by "Safety & Security" Minister Charles Nqakula's derisive exhortation that Whites can "whine about crime until they are blue in the face, or they can leave the country".The massive body of evidence which proves that high-ranking government officials consorting socially with known criminal gangs (Cash heist & bank robber kingpin "Fingers Rabotapi" and ANC Youth League leader & deputy minister Peter Mokaba - of the Kill The Boer, Kill the Farmer fame - now both deceased).
• The aforegoing, read together with ANC leaders' statements in the run-up to the 1994 elections that they will "make the country ungovernable" and "bring terror to the White neighbourhoods" is prima facie evidence of a state-sponsored racial terror campaign designed and orchestrated from the highest levels of South African government.

African immigrants riot after stabbing

11.09.2008. African immigrants have rioted in Spain after a Senegalese man was stabbed to death in the street of a southern town. A witness said the man was killed as he tried to intervene in a dispute between Senegalese and Roma (Gypsy) families in the area, Reuters reported. Continue reading at BBC. Writes the Guardian about the incident:

Miguel Corpas, of the Almería regional government, told the Cadena Ser radio station that "a large group [of immigrants] wanted to take justice into their own hands". He added that a "fierce battle took place [in which] the immigrants took to the streets to try to stop the firefighters putting out the fires". Corpas said the rioters erected barricades, and set fire to containers and to two houses that were completely destroyed. Rioters stoned the firefighters, according to some reports. A quarter of the town's population are said to be African immigrants who come to work in construction or in businesses set up by foreigners.

Bishops opposed to stricter asylum policies

10.09.2008. The Norwegian government is about to realize that the entire asylum situation is about to get out of hand, and have recently announced a somewhat stricter policy in this area. This has caused the Council on Ecumenical and International Relations (Mellomkirkelig råd) of the Church of Norway, as well as its bishops, to go bananas. Read more at Gates of Vienna.

08.09.2008. The boys, aged between 17 and 18, had just finished the minha prayer when they were attacked by a group of Muslims. The youths were initially approached by a group of three Muslim/African immigrants who began to throw chestnuts in their direction. The destruction brought about by WW1 and WW2 did indeed finished off much of Europe’s self-confidence. The problem is more complex than that, though. If you look at which countries suffered the most during these wars, there is no automatic correlation between that and which countries are most culturally suicidal today. Poland, for instance, is less suicidal than my country, which didn’t take part in WW1 and suffered less than many other nations during WW2. Sweden didn’t (formally) participate in either war, and neither did Switzerland. Both of these countries lack a colonial history (if you believe this is about a “post-colonial guilt complex”), yet Sweden is absolutely crazy, as those reading my essays would know. [...]

In order to explain this, we need to consider the prolonged and extremely destructive impact of Marxism in its various forms. It is supremely ironic that the countries in the western half of Europe, which during the Cold War were a part of the “free world,” are in some ways more damaged by Marxist indoctrination than the countries in the eastern half of Europe, where people lived under Communism for generations. We in the West have been undermined by a different strand of Marxism, one seemingly less serious since we have no Gulag here (yet), but one which slowly erodes your very will to live and removes your identity as a people. [...]

I have used the word “totalitarian” about the EU a number of times. What I mean by that is not that the EU is a fully totalitarian entity today, but that it is adopting measures which will increasingly move the organization and the continent towards totalitarianism. Frankly, the pace with which the EU moves in a totalitarian direction is greater than I anticipated a couple of years ago. This trend has been aided by the tensions created by mass immigration in general and Muslim immigration in particular. I have more than once wondered whether mass immigration has been introduced specifically to destroy any internal coherence in formerly stable, democratic nation states and thus facilitate the transfer of power to a new authoritarian oligarchy. Even if that wasn’t the intended result, it certainly is the actual result.

History has demonstrated that in order commit evil on a truly monumental scale, you need the support of ideology backed by bureaucrats, jurists and the machinery of a totalitarian state. Since Socialism generally leads in a totalitarian direction, facilitated by modern technological advances, an all-encompassing state will make organized violence against certain groups more likely. [...]

Discrimination against native Europeans is now virtually mandatory in the EU, as they are the only ethnic groups who should not be allowed to retain their culture and identity. Despite the fact that racist violence targeting whites from southern Africa to Western European cities is now a daily occurrence, racism against whites is rarely presented as a problem. It is presumably OK, merely an extension of the official government policies. [...]

Native Europeans are guinea pigs in an evil social experiment, a recycled version of the Communist idea of perpetual peace. Since wars are caused by “differences,” the way to permanently end all wars is to permanently end all differences. While the Communists focused on economic differences, the Globalists and Multiculturalists focus on cultural, religious and racial differences. Once these have been erased and all people have been merged into one, starting with white majority Western nations since they are most “different,” we will all live in peace. There will be no more national borders or national laws. All laws will be passed by the United Nations, and the world will be as one. We will be one global nation, one nation, under sharia. So we are being raped and murdered, but it’s for a good cause. The sooner we accept our own state-sponsored eradication, the better.

I wonder what future generations will call this time period. The Age of Insanity? The Age of Humiliation? Or perhaps the Age of Betrayal? There are many alternatives. Let us hope it will be followed by an Age of Revival.

Genetic map of Europe again

More interesting DNA patterns keep being discovered.

Excerpts from a posting at Gene Expression: On the heels of the previous paper describing the "genetic map of europe" comes a new paper that makes the same general observation that genetic data contain information about geography. These authors also develop a model that does reasonably well at predicting the country of origin of an individual based on genetics alone. [...]

The method the authors develop for predicting an individual's country of origin from genetics are only a beginning for this kind of application of genetic data. They note that the SNP chip used in the study only includes common variation, while rare variants are likely to be much more geographically restricted (and thus more informative in this kind of analysis). The limits to the resolution of these sorts of methods are likely to be very fine indeed; the authors note that, even with this panel, they're able to distinguish with some confidence individuals that are from the German, Italian, and French-speaking parts of Switzerland. With full resequencing data, it's likely that even the precise village of origin of an individual will be predictable from genetics alone. Read the full posting at Gene Expression.

I mentioned a couple of days ago that a Muslim African-American reporter in Philadelphia is warning America to expect a race war if Barack Hussein Obama loses the upcoming election. Since then a number of people have emailed me with links to similar predictions made by other writers. This one is interesting because it comes from a black conservative. Bob Parks warns us to expect trouble, regardless of whether the O-man wins or loses.

A group of Asians take on a group of black youths with screwdrivers, spades, metal poles and sticks in London (Daily Mail).

A warm late summer afternoon on a leafy street in an area colonised by fashionable cafes and shops came to an abrupt end when the peace was shattered by a raw, terrifying eruption of gang violence this week. Armed with spades, screwdrivers, bars and sticks, two gangs clashed and sent locals fleeing into shops for safety. This running battle between black and Asian youths - a sickening example of brutal Britain today - was captured by a photographer who had been waiting in the street to take a photo of the actress Julie Christie, who lives nearby. Threatened by the authorities

02.09.2008. Excerpts from an article at Gates of Vienna (emphasis added):

I posted H. Numan’s translation and commentary last night about the webmaster in the Netherlands who was convicted of a criminal offense for “racist” writings posted not by himself, but by a visitor to his site. The first notice he received that he was criminally liable for the material posted was when the police came to arrest him — there was no prior request to remove the insulting writings.

To add to the injustice, far more offensive and provocative material is routinely posted on Islamist forums and is never subjected to any punishment.

H. Numan pointed out that by attacking a small, little-known website, the Dutch government has managed to set a precedent for the suppression of free speech on the internet. We should expect them to employ this precedent to go after larger and more well-known sites like Gregorius Nekschot and GeenStijl. If enough bad publicity is created, the Dutch government may back down from its position, so H. Numan wants to help spread the word beyond the Dutch-language sites, and has asked Gates of Vienna to help. Continue reading at GoV.

Irish Parliament could pass parts of the Lisbon Treaty without a referendum

Excerpts from an article at euObserver.com: EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS – Parts of the Lisbon Treaty might be passed by the Irish lower chamber without a referendum, said Prime Minister Brian Cowen on Monday night (1 September) while in Brussels for an EU summit on the Georgia crisis. Mr Cowen sees this as an option for his government after the No vote on the Lisbon Treaty in June. But he rejected as "speculation" any discussion at this stage on how the government will proceed, according to the Irish Independent newspaper. [...]

An internal briefing document of the European Commission seen by the Irish Times has criticised Ireland's media for becoming more eurosceptic since the second Nice Treaty referendum. [...]

The document also highlights the importance of the Internet in the Lisbon No campaign. "Apart from official websites, the internet has largely been a space left to anti-European feeling. Given the ability to reach an audience at a much lower cost, and given the simplicity of the No campaign messages, it has proven to be easily malleable during the campaign and pre-campaign period," the document reads.

The failure of Western Feminism

Western women have to some extent brought the current problems upon themselves

I have written several essays before on the damaging effects of Western feminism. The massive wave of violence and especially rapes in Western cities now is a form of warfare against whites, and it’s about time it is recognized as such. As this post from Gallia Watch puts it:

As in war, the winners seize the indigenous women all the while protecting their own. The whole rhetoric that aims to debase the European woman or France (‘I screw France like a whore’ says rap group Sniper) is a part of the feminization of the white race, of the idea that Europe is a land to be conquered, a habitat open to all forms of pillage. Are not the notorious ‘gang rapes’ another example of collective violence to European women, just as Russian soldiers did when they seized German women in a devastated Berlin in 1945. It all holds together. A tribe that does not protect its women is behaving as if they have already lost the war. Many of us don’t know this. But our enemies do.

As a Western man, I would be tempted to say that Western women have to some extent brought this upon themselves. They have been waging an ideological, psychological and economic war against white men for several generations now, believing that this would make you “free.” The actual result is that you have less freedom of movement and security than ever, as a direct result of the immigrant policies supported by you and your buddies.

In the big scheme of things, the truth is that white men have treated women with greater respect than the men of almost any other major civilization on earth. And I don’t mean just in the modern age, I mean for many centuries. Yet we are the one group of men who are most demonized and attacked, whereas non-white men get treated with much greater respect. What white men see from this is that white Western women prefer men who treat them like crap, and disrespect men who treat them with respect. HonestThinking comments: Large segments of Western Feminism is at odds with science, incompatible with reality, and also intellectually incoherent and dishonest. The desire to pretend that gender is merely a social construct, appears to have been a major motivation for Western intellectuals to abandon science and rational thinking, and embrace postmodernism. No wonder these people also swallow the baloney about race too being just another social construct. And the additional baloney of people's language, culture, and religion being of moderate importance only when it comes to ensuring a sustainable development in our societies.

Earlier this year Jon Hustad remarked in Dag og Tid (Norwegian link) that the German historian and philosopher Oswald Spengler (1880–1936) once stated: «The day women start questioning whether or not they want to have children, the civilization to which they belong, is finished.» (my translation). The current European immigration and integration policy is profoundly disrespectful of both Muslims and Islam, because it is built on the tacit assumption that the Muslims will become like us. One claims to have respect for Islam and for Muslims, but one also expects Muslims to give up their orthodox faith when they come here. At the same time one is assuming that Islam will be reformed and modernized as soon as the Muslims become integrated and understand and appreciate how superior our Western culture is compared to their own. This is cultural shauvinism and arrogance indeed! The unspoken premise for this scenario is that Western socities are superior to Islam. Read more.

Human rights and democracy are under pressure. One threat comes from the Western world, in the form of lack of or dishonest thinking. There exists a peculiar Western "tolerance" which is so "tolerant" that it even tolerates totalitarian or anti-democratic ideologies. A tacit assumption underlying such an attitude is that all cultures, world views, and religions are really equally good. As a consequence of this assumption one is cut off from the possibility of critically examining the above mentioned ideologies. Read more.
